Sporthero-at-school (Sporthelden-op-school)

Sports and exercise:

We have a major problem with the upcoming generation in society. Half of the Dutch population is overweight. Every generation of children is becoming less mobile. One in five children never plays outside. In addition, sports associations and clubs are losing more and more young members. Sports and exercise are under pressure from all angles. As a result, children are becoming increasingly unhealthy and there is less connection between children.

Time for change:

Sporthelden-op-school was founded for this purpose with the mission to bring about a revolution in sports and exercise, health and prevention, so that children become more aware of the importance of exercise and health. This will result in them becoming fitter and being fitter.

A good example is followed by a good example. That is why sporthelden-op-school chooses top athletes who make good examples visible, tangible, recognizable and feasible by putting them in front of the class. I am happy that I am one of these top athletes to inspire the new generation to a better lifestyle and to actually encourage them to take action. With this we show the children that exercise and working on your health does not have to be difficult, and that you can also take small steps in this, with pleasure. In addition to a presentation, every top athlete also gives sports-specific clinics to the children. I provide taekwondo clinics and I think it is great to see how this can get children excited. This way they move well and have fun!

I am really looking forward to inspiring as many children as possible to move more in the coming period!

Dutch Open 2025 G2

Dutch Open 2025 G2

Last weekend the Dutch Open took place with no less than 1400 participating athletes from all over the world. With a world event just around the corner, this is the best annual event for me. Unfortunately, I was unable to participate due to an injury. As a result, I will not be participating in the Belgian Open either.

However, I was able to contribute as a volunteer to a successful event by assisting the referees. This role has broadened my insight into competition regulation, and it was especially nice to experience the perspective of the referees.

In addition, we were able to support the Association in creating Social Media content in the run-up to this event.

Despite not being able to participate, I was fortunately able to fully experience the event. On to a speedy recovery so that I can return to the mats as an athlete as soon as possible!

P.s.: See below the link to a Reel that was partly made by us as selection members!

Turkish Open 2025

Last weekend we traveled to Antalya to participate in the Turkish Open 2025. Unfortunately I sustained an injury which forced me to withdraw from this event due to the medical staff. Nevertheless I enjoyed the beautiful event and I am really looking forward to the next event (namely the Dutch Open!)

Completion of bachelor's degree in Law

Completion of bachelor's degree in Law

Today, I am proud to announce that I have officially and successfully completed my final bachelor's course by receiving a positive evaluation for my Bachelor’s Thesis.

Over the past few months, I have explored the key factors and perspectives that the judiciary most often considers when determining whether a collection of individuals qualifies as a group in cases of tort liability. My research has contributed to a deeper understanding of tort law in a group context, highlighting the challenges judges face when making definitive black-and-white decisions about group membership.

Meanwhile, I have also begun my Master’s in International Law & Public Governance, and I am excited to expand my legal knowledge in an international context!
